Creating folders for Mogli Templates (formerly SMS Templates) will allow you to better manage and categorize your templates for easier access and improved organization.

Prerequisites

  • Access to your Salesforce instance with Mogli installed

  • Appropriate permissions to create and modify Mogli folders and SMS templates

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Navigate to Mogli Folders In your Salesforce instance, type "Mogli folders" in the global search bar and select the Mogli Folders object.

2. Create a New Folder Click the "New" button to create a new Mogli folder. In the new folder creation page, you'll see a field for the folder name.

3. Name Your Folder Choose a descriptive name for your folder.

  • For shared folders, use names that clearly indicate the purpose or department, e.g., "Marketing Templates" or "Customer Support"

4. Set Parent Folder (Optional) If you want to create a subfolder, you can select a parent folder from the dropdown list. Leave this field empty if you're creating a top-level folder.

5. Save the Folder Click the "Save" button to create your new folder.

6. Assign Templates to Folders

  1. Navigate to your Mogli Templates list view. Select the templates you want to move to the new folder.

  2. Use the mass edit feature to assign multiple templates to a folder at once: Select the checkboxes next to the desired templates.

  3. Click the "Change Owner" button (you'll be changing the folder, not the owner).

  4. In the pop-up, select the "Mogli Folder" field and choose your newly created folder. Click "Submit" to move the selected templates to the new folder.

7. Verify Folder Structure

  1. Go to a Lead or Contact record.

  2. Click the Mogli Templates selection button (document icon with a plus sign).

  3. Select "All" to view your folder structure.

  4. Verify that your templates appear in the correct folders.

Best Practices

Use a consistent naming convention for folders.

Create a logical hierarchy that makes sense for your organization.

Regularly review and clean up your folder structure to maintain organization.

Consider creating department-specific folders for shared templates.

Private Folders are no longer supported out of the box without utilizing Sharing Rules. Clients can set up object-level sharing settings for Mogli Folders and Templates. This allows for role-based or group-based visibility into Folders > Templates. With Sharing Settings, it's possible based on roles, but it cannot be granularized for individual users.

Troubleshooting

If you can't see your newly created folders, ensure that sharing settings are properly configured.

If you're unable to move templates to folders, check your user permissions.

To control access to Mogli Templates and folders, you can configure object-level Sharing Settings in Salesforce. These settings allow you to enable or disable access to Mogli Folders and/or Mogli Templates based on user roles or public groups.
