Effective reporting is the bridge between simply sending messages and truly understanding your engagement strategy. By leveraging Salesforce Reports for Mogli and Marketing Cloud, you gain critical visibility into delivery success rates, audience responsiveness, and the overall ROI of your automated journeys. This data allows you to move beyond guesswork, providing the actionable insights needed to refine your messaging cadence, troubleshoot delivery hurdles, and ensure your marketing efforts are hitting the mark.
Access the Reports Tab
Log in to your Salesforce instance.
Click the App Launcher (nine-dot icon) and search for Reports.
Click the New Report button.
Select Report Type
In the Choose Report Type search bar, type Mogli Messages.
Select the report type that matches your primary object (e.g., Contacts with Mogli Messages or Leads with Mogli Messages).
Click Start Report.
Filter for Marketing Cloud Messages
To isolate messages that originated from Marketing Cloud journeys, you must filter by the integration source.
Navigate to the Filters pane.
Set the Show Me filter to "All [Object Name]" and the Created Date to "All Time" (or your preferred range).
Add a new filter for the Header field, Set the filter operator to Equals and enter the value Marketing Cloud.
Note: Messages generated from the Mogli for Marketing Cloud system integration automatically feature a specific Header at the top of the message bubble.
Add Relevant Columns
Switch to the Outline pane to add fields that provide context for your marketing engagements such as Message, Status and Contact.
The following Mogli specific columns are recommended:
Mogli Message: Direction: Set this to "Outbound" to see sent messages.
Mogli Message: Status: To track delivery success (e.g., Sent, Delivered, Error).
Header: To verify the Marketing Cloud journey source.
Click the Save & Run button.
Save & Run
Set the Report name and Description as desired.
We recommend a naming convention such as [Mogli] Marketing Cloud Journey Messages.
Choose a folder (e.g., Public Reports)
Click Save.
